Date 007

After my mom had her fabulous hair makeover on Saturday she went on a date with a nice guy who she was lined up with through this blog. She had such a fun time she wanted me to blog about it.It was an exciting date with a little bit of suspense and mystery. She calls it her double “O” seven date.

They met up at Famous Dave’s in Layton. Not only was the food great but there seemed to be plenty to talk about. Her date told Mom that she looked beautiful and her favorite part was when he told her that he likes to watch chick flicks. At the restaurant, her date wanted to sit so that he could see the door and everything behind her. He said that he used to be in the police force and that because of his training and experience he can’t sit with his back facing a doorway. Not too long after he had told her this they heard police sirens getting closer and closer. They noticed out the window that there were police walking around the parking lot of the restaurant and they wondered what was going on.

The dinner continued with great conversation but the suspense as to what was going on continued as well. When they finally got outside they saw an older woman crouched over inside a car. Not sure what was the matter with her, Mom's date assumed she would be okay based on the actions and body language of the police officers. Though it was a bizarre situation, Mom had a great time. She liked that little bit of mystery.

After her date she met back up with us and we went to the Polynesian festival. Afterwards we roasted marshmallows in the backyard and watched the fireworks.

I asked my Mom to bring up one of her awards so I could should all of you how great she truly is at her job. This is her favorite award from her previous job in 2003. Mom is shaking hands with the CEO and was flown to a conference where she was recognized and spoiled for the weekend. She is so talented with her sales skills. Just wanted to take a moment and brag on her behalf.

Mom has had the best time with this blog. She has had some great dates, made some new friends and has made some great changes inward and outward. We thank you for your support!!
