We mentioned we had some great news. Mom wanted to show you that she does read your advice and was willing to try something new. This weekend Mom went to a hair appointment for a fun change. It was my daughter's birthday and we were having a girls day out - hair and all. Mom had the entire Style Easy Salon talking about this blog and they were excited for her to have a professional new look.
When Mom agreed that it was time to take the leap of faith and try something new with her hair the anticipation began. Would she chicken out? She was worried that her hair would not hold any color. She was also worried about trusting a new hair stylist. What if she chopped her hair off or dyed it too dark? Mom loves being blond and wants to keep her hair long. She wanted to keep her bangs too.
I booked the appointment with my awesome hairstylist, Heather, and she canceled her weekend plans to come into the salon for Mom which I thought was too nice. She suggested some dark blonds to weave into Mom's hair and some layering in the back. Mom brought in photos of what she wanted to look like and didn't want to look like. Heather listened to what Mom wanted and knew just what to do. Mom surprised us all when she asked for red highlights. To make a long story short, it turned out amazing (as always with Heather). Mom said she hadn't liked her hair this much since 1995.
