Hello everyone! I just wanted to tell you I am enjoying my single
life a lot. I have met quite the nice group of single friends both male
and female and it has been so fun! We enjoyed our usual Break your
Fast-Sunday Potluck today! It was so much fun and I invited a gentleman
whose wife had just passed away a few moths ago. He was so grateful to
have company and he did not have to cook for once.
Our Italian friend
Vince made a home made quiche. Everyone brought
their special treats they made for the dinner. They are always so
proud of what they make. We are becoming quite the group and had such a
nice visit.
Last night we had a big Cinco De Mayo party
at my friends Beth Maynes house and it was so fun. We had a huge taco
buffet with every kind of dip and
chip and toppings
for tacos you could imagine!!We played horseshoe and I was so bad at
it- I threw it and almost hit a guy in the head with the iron
horseshoe!!!! He was standing down at the end by the horseshoe stands
but he was way over on his side . When I threw it, it darn near hit him
and the whole group started laughing their heads off!! Boy, I better
never play baseball or even throw a Frisbee you never know where it
might land!!! Ha! Ha!
They had one the most beautiful pinatas I have
every seen. It was a real pretty metallic blue and white color with giant
streamers hanging down from it. So several of us were blindfolded and
we tried to hit the giant pinata that was chalk full of candy. We were
so full from dinner it was too much to run and pick up all the candy.
Its funny how things change when you get older. I thought to myself
where are all the little kids when we need them!!
After that we learned
how to dance. My girlfriend brought some Latin and Mexican
music and we learned several different steps of Latin dancing. The guys
had so much fun they all got up and tried to learn the dances and had a
great time. Ya know if we were all married the guys would have left or
sat on the sidelines probably!!We did not have any wall flowers. I felt
like a kid or rather a young teen again it was so much fun!!!!We were
doing some rumba, samba and cha-cha steps and many other dance steps I
had not even heard of. I had a dance partner that was a cute 67 year
old. He was so fun and full of energy. He was buzzing me all around that
dance floor like none other. You would of swore he was Fred Astaire! I
was so out of breath it wasn't funny and boy it's a sin to get old. His
wife had died too and you would never know it he was having such a good
time last night.
My friend went to a lot of trouble and put up a lot of
cute decorations for the party. To say the least it was a fabulous fun
time for all that attended! Well I just
want to say I am extremely grateful and so blessed to have such great
friends. I was so alone and I prayed and prayed and prayed. Boy be
careful what you pray for. I now have 3 million friends and my calendar
is full up every week with invites and things to do. Well everyone adios for now!!! Beverly
